"Sole legal importer"?

the sole legal importer of LOMO products to the United States

Opiates (needed by hospitals, of course) may for all I know have a sole legal importer, but I don't see how even the "Lomography" crowd could illegalize import to the US of a camera. Individuals can buy them via fleabay, etc. As I understand it, Lomography has an exclusive deal with the manufacturer to sell them in the US. Nothing prevents a third party from buying them in Russia or anywhere else taking them to the US, and selling them as used. See the second letter. -- Hoary 07:05, 16 June 2006 (EDT)
